Each day in Colorado, approximately 12 children and teens enter foster care because their parents need time to learn new skills and address safety concerns. Today, there are 2,159 children and teens growing up with a foster family in Colorado. Colorado is experiencing a shortage of foster parents. We need foster parents in every community, especially parents who are willing to care for children with complex behavioral and mental health needs, sibling groups and children whose first language is not English.
