Today, we celebrated the incredible life of Daniel L. Ritchie—former CEO and chairman of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, longtime chancellor of the University of Denver, and a transformative leader in business, philanthropy, and the arts. He passed away at the age of 93, leaving behind a legacy that shaped institutions, inspired communities, and elevated Colorado’s cultural and educational landscape. Mr. Ritchie's generosity was unparalleled—he gave to DU across three decades, and countless charities benefited from his deep love for Colorado. He also served on the Colorado Concern executive board, working alongside Josh and R.D. throughout his lifelong advocacy in the state. He embodied a principle we all strive to live by: leave Denver and Colorado better than you found it. Mr. Ritchie's Ten Principles to Live By remain a lasting source of inspiration for us all.
