This is devastating. No child should ever feel so alone, unheard, and unprotected that they believe the only escape is to take their own life. Jocelynn Carranza deserved better! Every child does. This isn’t just about one school district—it’s about a systemic failure that starts at the top and trickles down into our communities. When leadership (shameful) normalizes cruelty, indifference, and a culture of silence, it sends a clear message: suffering is acceptable. We must do better. We must create a world where no child fears walking into school, where bullying isn’t dismissed, and where every cry for help is met with action, not excuses. Enough is enough. Schools, parents, and communities must take real, meaningful steps to protect our children. We failed her. Jocelynn’s story should never have been written this way. We owe it to her—and every child like her—to demand change. I am so sorry Jocelynn…

???????????????? ????, ???????? - ?????????? ????????????????'?? ?????? Today, we celebrate the #voices, #rights, and #dreams of #children everywhere. This year’s theme, ‘?????????????????? ?????? ?????????? ??????????', calls on us to embrace #diversity and build a world where every child feels valued, heard, and #protected—regardless of race, gender, ability, or background. ?? ?????? ???? ????????????????: First established in 1954, November 20 holds immense significance. On this day in 1959, the United Nations adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, and in 1989, the Convention on the Rights of the Child followed. These milestones remind us of our global commitment to ensure every right for every child. ?? ?????????? ??????????????: Yet, even as we #advocate for #inclusion and #hope, there are countless #children worldwide who lose their lives due to war, genocide, violence, and conflict. Their laughter silenced, their futures stolen. Let us not turn a blind eye to their suffering. Each child lost is a tragedy, and each life spared is a testament to our #humanity. ?????? ????????????: We must unite to leave behind a #safer, #kinder, and more #inclusive world—a world where children thrive without fear. Together, let’s: Protect their innocence. Empower their voices. Uphold their rights. For every child, everywhere, let us ensure that #compassion, inclusion, and #safety are not just ideals but realities. Let’s be the change. Let’s make a lasting difference. The future begins with how we care for our children today.

We are thrilled to announce that we are participating in North Texas Giving Day for the very first time! Mark your calendars for September 1 to 18 for early giving, leading up to the big day on September 19! Your generous donations will help provide essential services for families facing financial challenges, ensuring they don’t navigate a child welfare crisis alone and #EDUCATE & #EMPOWER communities about child welfare. With your help, we can help children and families stay together and grow stronger. Every contribution, no matter how small, is a step toward building a brighter future for our community. We can create a ripple effect of kindness and compassion that transforms lives. In response to the growing mental health crisis among teens, the U.S. Surgeon General has called for warning labels on social media platforms to protect young users. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the potential negative impacts of social media on mental health. Thank you PBS for shedding light on this important issues. #TeenMentalHealth
