Colonial Pullman gives back! The Pittsburgh Film Office is a 501c3 economic development organization dedicated to building Pittsburgh's film industry in Pittsburgh. Their annual gala, "Lights, Glamour, Action!" will be held this Saturday in Pittsburgh Union Station. The Colonial Pullman Company offers the historic Pullman railcar Colonial Crafts for your exclusive use. Ride the rails in style and comfort by reserving space on a scheduled trip or chartering the railcar for your special occasion or business retreat. The railcar sleeps 9 in four bedrooms and offers daytime seating for up to 20 guests in the lounge. Gourmet dining, enjoyable libations, and white-jacket service are a part of every trip. The Colonial Crafts was built by the Pullman Company in 1949 for the Pennsylvania Railroad and has been in near-continuous service since then. It has been maintained by expert railroaders and is staffed by hospitality professionals with knowledge and appreciation of the golden age of rail travel. The Colonial Crafts' home base is Amtrak's 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. It can travel on nearly any Amtrak train and route at speeds of up to 110 MPH. The historic Pullman car Colonial Crafts completed an excursion from New York to Miami and back December 27-30. It was the rear car of Amtrak’s Silver Meteor in both directions, carrying daytime guests between Jacksonville and Miami and between Washington and New York, and overnight guests across the entire route.
