We're pleased to share that Brooke Stevens has been promoted to Director of Rehab Services. Brooke has been a valuable member of #TeamColleton since 2013 and has served as the therapy manager for the 14-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit since 2019. Under her leadership, Colleton Medical Center’s inpatient rehab team earned The Joint Commission’s Stroke Certification and has been consistently recognized as one of HCA Healthcare’s top-performing rehab units. In her new role as Director of Rehab Services, Brooke will continue leading the community stroke support group while elevating inpatient and outpatient rehab services to new heights. Happy Radiological Technology (Rad Tech) Week! Rad Tech Week is celebrated annually the week of November 8 to commemorate the discovery of the x-ray by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen on November 8, 1895. Just as Roentgen discovered the x-ray 129 years ago, today, our care team relies on the expertise of our imaging team to paint the picture often necessary to accurately diagnose our patients. Thank you for “radiating” excellence in all that you do.

Our annual Breast Cancer Survivors Breakfast is the one event we love having low attendance. Happy Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week to our exceptional Food and Nutrition Services Team. During this weeklong celebration, we celebrate the dedicated professionals who are the key ingredient in delivering nutrition excellence to our patients, visitors, and colleagues. Each member of the Food and Nutrition Services Team plays an integral role in patient care. Their multifaceted roles include catering meetings, preparing and serving meals for staff and visitors, and, most importantly, crafting nutritious and tailored meals for patients from diverse backgrounds with varying health requirements.

This is why Colleton Medical Center is teaming up with the Walterboro Police Department and Colleton-County Sheriffs-Office to #CrushTheCrisis on Saturday, October 26, in support of the DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
