Today we had the privilege of welcoming the students of West Clayton Elementary back to school for their first day ????

We collaborated with?Fifth Third Bank to promote their community initiatives throughout the previous season. This season's Women's Day game featured Fifth Third as the entitlement sponsor, giving them the chance to honor the female leaders of all of their community partners. In addition, the Skyhawks supported Fifth Third on Fifth Third Day, their annual celebration, with a performance by our Southside Crew and a surprise from Colli!

This past season we worked with The Aaron's Company, Inc. to honor West Clayton Elementary School teachers and staff with an exclusive courtside seating experience as part of this year's The Aaron's Company, Inc. A+ Experience at multiple games throughout the season in recognition of their hard work and dedication. During Teacher Appreciation Week earlier this month, we surprised Mrs. Leland, West Clayton’s Teacher of the Year, with a reclining loveseat that will be used in her classroom for her and her students to enjoy!

We hosted a Career Expo event for fourth and fifth grade?students?at West Clayton Elementary School! ?? Each student was able to collaborate and learn from Skyhawks’ staff members to introduce them to some of the unique and different career opportunities they can pursue in the future. ? The fourth and fifth grade students were able to stop at different career stations, which included broadcast and entertainment, retail, social media and graphic design, videography, and NBA 2K gaming.?? ? Activities ranged from shopping at a mini Skyhawks shop with play money, to coloring in themed jerseys, to reading broadcast scripts and announcing starting lineups, to learning how to film with a camera, and playing NBA 2K.
