Helping organizations deliver through improved project execution | Earned Value Management | Schedule Risk Management
CPM has started an industry working group focused on the IP2M METRR assessment process. If you are involved with an organization that delivers large complex projects I'd ask that you take a few minutes to fill out the survey. This survey aims to gather valuable insights that will enhance our understanding of the efficacy of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and their environments. Your feedback is crucial in helping us refine our focus in the working group and improve project management practices across various sectors. Why Participate? - Contribute to Improvement: Your input will directly influence the development of tools and practices that support integrated project management. - Learn More: By participating, you will gain insights into the workings of the IP2M METRR Working Group and its initiatives. Please use the link in the post to access the survey. Thank you for considering this opportunity to contribute to the advancement of project management practices. We look forward to your participation! Tim

We're proud to announce that ISO 21512 - EVM Implementation Guidance was officially published as an International Standard on August 22nd, 2024. This achievement is particularly significant for CPM, as our organization made major contributions to this document through the dedicated efforts of several of our volunteers. Their expertise and hard work have been instrumental in shaping this important standard. The ISO 21512 document, which provides comprehensive guidance on implementing Earned Value Management (EVM), is now available for purchase through the official ISO website. We encourage all professionals in our field to access this valuable resource. This journey began in September 2019 in Seoul, Korea. Despite the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, our team, alongside international colleagues, persevered, demonstrating remarkable resilience and commitment to excellence. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all contributors, especially our CPM volunteers who devoted their time and expertise to this project. Your dedication has not only elevated the standing of our organization but has also significantly advanced the global practice of performance management. The Project Governance and Control Symposium (PGCS), an organization that the College of Performance Management has supported, and where many of our members have spoken at their annual symposium, has issued a targeted call for research proposals globally, as summarized in the communique below: Developed in collaboration with Deputy Secretary CASG, Mr. Chris Deeble DAO, CSC, the key question for proposals is: "What needs to be different for project management and controls practices going forward to address increasing complexity and the current demands for accelerated delivery and delivery of minimum viable capability?" The PGCS Walter Lipke Research Grant for CASG has been set at $AUD 25,000 (inclusive of GST where applicable). Further information, including the application forms needed to apply, is available online here: https://lnkd.in/gsbz8CP6. CASG = Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group of the Australian Defense Department, which is somewhat similar (on a much smaller scale) to Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) in the US Defense Department.
