College Admissions for Neurodivergent Students ??????????| Clinical Psychologist | Writer ?? | Keynote Speaker ??

???? College readiness is a vital concern for #neurodivergent students, and one that I regularly discuss with families and in presentations. So I was thrilled to learn that my colleague Matt Gunter, in collaboration with the College Autism Network, just published a workbook to assess and address college readiness. Chapter topics include independent living skills, executive functioning skills, academic skills, self-advocacy skills, mental health and more! I'm sure this publication will be invaluable for many families, #tutors, academic coaches and college admissions professionals. You can learn more and order this workbook at https://lnkd.in/gu9gaqC4. #CollegeReadiness #CollegePrep #ExecutiveFunctioning #AcademicCoaching #AutismSupport #NeurodiversitySupport #AutismParents #SpecialNeedsParents #CollegeAdmissions #EducationalConsultants #HighSchoolCounselors #SpecialEducators

The College Autism Network is celebrating our partner and benefactor, Dr. Keivan Stassun, Founding Director of the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation, who was named a MacArthur Fellow today. We are grateful every day that at a moment when CAN's future was a little (okay, a lot) iffy, Keivan said, "come join us." Which we did, gladly. The Frist Center leads the way on supporting autistic college students, especially those who want to enter STEM fields, and Keivan leads the Frist Center. Thanks, MacArthur Foundation, for recognizing this exceptional scholar, leader, mentor, father and all-around good person.
