New logo for Collective Media Productions. Derek Goldsmith started CMP to solve production service needs and have a 'vehicle with no passengers' "idle" and ready to burn rubber. I've had the opportunity as an Executive Producer at large studios prior to launch live action departments from scratch and grow post production teams in the US and Offshore. I feel that I understand the architecture, pitfalls and workflows of crewing up teams, only after the work is awarded and assigned a budget. This model tends to staffing through a "margin lens" in a resource dept over the lens of "what reel is the absolute best for this position on this board". I feel that my methodology at CMP during the initial bidding process is key in avoiding the loss of control and transparency you might experience in other models. At CMP we bid, pitch and present you with our best-spoke team to execute your scope in an effort to put as much of that budget “on screen” and we've had success through this "no baggage model".
