Smith shares her approach to writing poetry as a practice of creative hope, aggressive optimism, and clarifying her radical visions of a liberated future. In this engaging presentation, Suzi Q. will offer poems and prompts that will invite you to celebrate unexpected moments of joy, life, beauty and/or celebration in the midst of hardship and/or mundanity. This presentation will also include time to explore your own inspirations.
