Today, we had the pleasure of visiting the Raleigh Music Collective, where they shared their inspiring mission of transforming students’ lives through comprehensive music education. ?? With weekly one-on-one and group instruction, they bring creativity, joy, and hope into the lives of young musicians from diverse cultures and backgrounds. By providing instruments ??, supplies, and tuition-free programs, the Raleigh Music Collective breaks down financial barriers, while also making their classes accessible by offering them at convenient community locations. We’re proud to support their efforts with a grant, which will help fund their Summer Camp and fall group classes in collaboration with the City of Raleigh's Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department. Today, we’re proud to highlight The Marian Cheek Jackson Center for Saving and Making History (MCJC) and their work preserving the historically Black neighborhoods of Chapel Hill and Carrboro, known as Northside. ?? MCJC is tackling housing justice, advocacy, and home preservation through the Northside Neighborhood Initiative (NNI). Funding from our Coastal Foundation will support these vital efforts to protect and revitalize this cherished community. ??
