We love to see campuses like George Mason University promoting new initiatives surrounding community-based learning and discussing the importance of capturing learning experiences in Collaboratory's database. Thanks to our partner George Mason University - Office of Community Engagement and Civic Learning | CECiL for sharing this story! #communityengagement #impact
Our office was proud to be part of the recent CASSBI Kick-Off Event, where we celebrated the launch of an initiative dedicated to advancing medical technologies through human-centered, community-engaged approaches. CASSBI's newly named center, Center for Advancing Systems Science and Bioengineering Innovation, is committed to community-based learning. During the event, we shared insights on the importance of tracking community engagement through Collaboratory—a tool administered by our office. This database helps us gather valuable information regarding university-wide community partnerships and our overall footprint locally and globally. We are dedicated to learning from the community, shaping well-rounded scholars, and fulfilling our social responsibility. The energizing discussions focused on strategies for meaningful community involvement and cross-disciplinary collaboration. It’s inspiring to see such commitment as CASSBI works toward impactful innovation at the intersection of health, technology, and society. Looking forward to seeing all the great things CASSBI will be doing!
