Collaborative Health Partners of Virginia (CHP) is a clinically integrated physician network consisting of physicians representing primary care, specialty care and other medical and health based organizations. CHP is a physician led organization that is committed to maximizing the value of healthcare services provided to patients throughout the Central and Southern Virginia region. CHP believes that creating value for healthcare consumers requires physicians to provide high quality healthcare services to patients in a cost-effective manner. All of our participating physician members are actively engaged in ongoing efforts to continuously improve CHP’s performance in regards to these goals. These efforts include: -Practicing and furthering the development of evidence-based medicine; -Providing appropriate preventative care, screening, and disease management services; -Coordinating patient care across providers and care settings; -Delivering healthcare services in a way that address patients’ healthcare issues and their personal preferences; and -Embracing technology to enable optimal patient care. Our current network consists of: CVFP Medical Group, Liberty Mountain Medical Group, Physicians Treatment Center, & Rehab Associates of Central VA

Success in Direct Primary Care (DPC) can take many forms. We’ve witnessed remarkable achievements from strong, independent DPC doctors who have cultivated robust patient panels and made a significant impact within their local communities. Additionally, independent networks of onsite and near-site clinic companies have demonstrated impressive effectiveness in delivering care. However, one area where we still seek successful examples is the collaboration between independent physicians and large local employers. This model, which could establish a city-wide network of coordinated care, has the potential to enhance patient outcomes and streamline healthcare delivery on a larger scale. Meet our next pediatric specialist, Skyler Lennon! Originally from coastal Virginia, Skyler Lennon, PA-C, DMSc, came to Lynchburg in 2017 to attend Liberty University. After graduating in 2019, Skyler had the opportunity to work in Developmental Pediatrics at UVA Children’s Hospital where he discovered his love for pediatric care and early childhood development. He returned to Lynchburg to attend the University of Lynchburg School of PA Medicine in 2023 and subsequently completed his Doctor of Medical Sciences in 2024. Skyler enjoys providing care to children of all ages and offering family guidance in all stages of life. He has a specific interest in neurodevelopmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, among others. Skyler lives with his wife and two cats, enjoys playing piano, and is an avid disc golfer.

Meet our newest pediatrician, Dr. Kirsten Madea! Dr. Madea earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Pediatric residency at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. She studied Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in residency. She also furthered her leadership skills through Harvard's Career Advancement Leadership Skills for Women in Healthcare program. An active volunteer and member of professional organizations, Dr. Madea has participated in medical mission trips and is involved with the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Osteopathic Association and the Christian Medical and Dental Association. Her interests include integrative medicine, adoption medicine, nonoperative orthopedics, hiking, and music. Dr. Madea’s dedication to education, patient care, and community service underscores her commitment to individualized care and improving healthcare! #pediatrics #welcome
