    Who doesn't love a good glowup? When Se.lo Skincare asked us to update their website to appeal to Gen Z shoppers, we were excited to revamp it with: - A fresh, simplified layout with more emphasis on visual aesthetics - Strategic CTA placements - Reorganized navigation to help shoppers find what they need faster - More concise and effective copy - Increased emphasis on product features and value props across the site We also recommended adjustments to meet accessibility standards while keeping brand identity intact.     One big advantage of building your store on Shopify is that they are constantly rolling out improvements. You pay the same amount of money per month, but you're getting more bang for your buck as time goes on. However, some work is required to be able to take advantage of all the innovation that they roll out. Without a savvy in-house developer or agency partner, brands can miss out on the full power of their subscription. We recently helped a client update to Shopify 2.0 so they'd have a much wider range of theme customization options. The first thing we tackled together within the new architecture was a simplified customer navigation experience. The original menu layout didn’t fit on a single row, so we redesigned it to provide cleaner, more intuitive browsing - then we brought two of the brand's core offerings into focus: Interior Design, and Event Planning. With the menu redesign now shining a spotlight on the brand's design portfolio, we leveraged Shopify 2.0's ability to create more dynamic, flexible layouts and spun up a mobile-friendly catalog of past work. Teeing up new site functionality ahead of BFCM (within the estimated budget, no less) was a big win for our team and the brand. We look forward to seeing what other improvements we can make together!

    Most A/B tests result in a tie, or at best a small fractional increase in conversion rate that can be stacked on top of other small wins to eventually get a big result. But sometimes you get a big win off the bat, and we're psyched to share this one with you! Coldsmoke is looking for a highly capable React Engineer who can understand and interpret new data structures and build a UI to accompany the structure. You will join a project team to develop headless ecommerce websites using Hydrogen and Remix, integrated with Shopify and Pack Digital platforms. Coldsmoke Creative has helped over 100 brands on Shopify and Shopify Plus grow their business and get the most out of the platform. We work with some of the most exciting brands on Shopify Plus like Bodega, ILIA Beauty, and BYLT Basics, and we’re expanding our team to help us to continue to deliver high-quality and high-performing capabilities to our clients. This role calls for someone proficient in Shopify and Headless web development, with the ability to work quickly and meet deadlines in a dynamic fast-paced environment. Qualifications include: 4+ years of hands-on experience in frontend development with React.js, Next.js, Shopify, GraphQL, and API integration. 2+ years of experience working with TypeScript, demonstrating proficiency in writing strongly typed, clean, and maintainable code. Solid expertise in using Tailwind for crafting responsive and adaptive user interfaces. In-depth knowledge of Shopify Functions and proven experience developing headless Shopify architectures using Hydrogen, Remix, or similar frameworks. Strong understanding of modern ecommerce architectures, including composable commerce and serverless environments. Experience ensuring cross-browser compatibility, with a track record of successful development across platforms (iOS, Android, Firefox, Safari, Chrome). Familiarity with serverless platforms such as Vercel or Netlify and experience deploying and managing sites in a serverless context. Proficient in core web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, Sass/PostCSS, and JavaScript (Vanilla JS). Experienced with Git for version control and collaboration in a development team. Knowledgeable in SEO best practices, web performance optimization, and adhering to web accessibility standards (WCAG). Bonus: Experience with backend or full-stack development (Node.js, database design, etc.) and developing custom Shopify apps. Excellent communication skills, able to respond to Slack and email promptly, preferably available Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm EST.
