They say that you always teach what you most need to learn, and boy was that true today! Just finished co-presenting this workshop for an incredible group of graduate students at Morgan State University (an intro workshop for some of the skills of CoJourn, in anticipation of launching our 12-week program next semester). The reminder of self-compassion, the importance of celebrating each small win, and the gift of meditation completely re-balanced my nervous system after a difficult couple of weeks. And the ideas and energy of the graduate students was inspiring and uplifting. We have been thrilled with the success of CoJourn for Graduate Schools through our recent partnerships with UMass Amherst, UMass Chan Medical School, and SUNY Oswego. The CoJourn program is a highly effective way to offer?graduate?students and postdocs additional support as they navigate?graduate?school, along with an opportunity to build a deeper connection with a peer. ? In recent?graduate?school program evaluations at two different institutions,?over 94% of participants said they would recommend CoJourn?to a friend or colleague and 90% planned to continue to use the framework?after the 12-week program ended.
