Thank you, Rachel Badovinac Ramoni Badovinac Ramoni for your leadership and dedication to advancing #BrainHealth research for the past eight years! It’s been an honor to serve with you.
After eight amazing years as Chief Research and Development Officer at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, I am fortunate to become the sixth Director of the Division of Research at Kaiser Permanente, Northern California. You can read about my new role here: https://lnkd.in/dmy4abzX. It would be an enormous understatement to say that it was an honor to work at VA, and I will forever be grateful to David Shulkin for having given me the opportunity back in 2017. He told me it would be a "quantum leap" forward for my career, and he was right. With the help of my amazing VA Research colleagues, I hope that I honored his trust in me by enabling our researchers to do their work more efficiently. This year, VA Research turns 100 years old, and the next 100 years are off to a fantastic start under the leadership of Grant Huang, Acting Chief Research and Development Officer, and Carolyn Clancy, who leads the parent office, Discovery, Education, and Affiliate Networks (DEAN). Please keep in touch, VA friends and colleagues. I can't wait to hear what good you continue to do for Veterans and the nation.
