Congratulations to Cohen, Placitella & Roth, PC members Michael Coren and Eric S. Pasternack, who obtained final approval of a class action settlement in Banks v. Allstate Fire & Casualty Insurance Company, Civil Action No. 19-1617 (W.D. Pa.). Valued at $2.9 million, the settlement provided qualifying class members the full value of their first party personal injury protection (“PIP”) claims and a minimum of $100, along with injunctive relief ensuring that when they obtain medical treatment and services outside of Pennsylvania, their claims payments will not be reduced according to the state fee schedules of the states in which treatment and services are rendered.?
