Cognito is a mobile and web e-learning platform built to modernize education by creating an open marketplace for high quality, interactive learning material. Cognito helps its users study, multitask, interact, learn, and earn. Our goal at Cognito is to develop tools that allow our users to be more efficient, more effective, more engaged, and more motivated in their work. While our platform is open to all types of users—including students, teachers, organizations, and individuals—Cognito is built for learners at its core; people that take pride in deeply understanding, continuously improving, and opening themselves up to new things. We at Cognito believe that the most important factor of an efficient and successful learning process is interactivity. What do we mean by interactivity? We mean interaction with the educational material, interaction between the educators and students, interaction between different students, and interaction with the real world. We believe that interactivity is not just achieved by interactive learning, but also by communication, feedback, and data. We made these four aspects of interactivity our main focus when developing the Cognito platform. A core belief at Cognito is that students and educators should both be rewarded for the learning material that they spend hours laboring over. Allowing our users to create and sell educational content on our platform increases learner-motivation and in turn, increases their engagement.
