Please join us in welcoming our newest Principal Engineer, Medina Nurmanova! A data scientist with a computer science background, Medina is a low code software developer and Pega-certified senior systems architect who is always excited to learn new things and take on new challenges. She’s worked on commercial and government contracts in various roles for companies ranging in size from a startup to a government agency. “The main thing that drew me to Coforma is the company’s focus on making a positive impact in areas that are often overlooked,” Medina shares. “Everyone here cares about making sure other people feel included and heard. I’d like to contribute to that culture through my project work, and I look forward to seeing how my work improves the lives of people around me.” Medina joins our remote team from Arlington, VA. Outside of work, she likes to read, play video games, and dabble in creative hobbies such as knitting and crocheting. She also has a movie club with friends and enjoys cooking and baking. Both Coforma and its joint venture with Fearless, Affix Digital, were recently awarded a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) set aside in the Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) managed by the General Services Administration (GSA). We would like to welcome Eric Hill to the Coforma team as a Senior Principal Security Engineer! Eric’s professional journey began supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for nearly 15 years. Most recently, he served as an Information Security Lead for the EPA, supporting the agency’s overall security program. The opportunity to work with a growing organization that supports a variety of government agencies initially drew Eric to Coforma. “I’m excited to contribute to our mission by improving our partners’ programs and creating a standardized approach to secure their environments,” he shares. “I hope to cultivate a culture in which everyone views information security as a shared responsibility and discover modern solutions to strengthen Coforma’s security program, establishing us as a trusted leader in the industry.” Outside of work, Eric is passionate about Ravens football, discovering new recipes (especially for use on the grill), and finding ways to stay active. He later moved into product management, spending over a decade in the financial technology and rewards space. “I discovered Coforma through a friend and was drawn to the company’s transparency and dedication to ethical solutions,” Cameron shares. “I hope to broaden my skills further while I’m here and create software that truly makes an impact.”? Cameron is a published author who shares his life with his partners and his dog, Valkyrie. He joins our remote team from Duluth, GA, where he enjoys partner dancing, board games, and camping. Meet Stacy Wise, Coforma’s newest Director of Engineering! Stacy brings more than a decade of engineering experience in a variety of different industries, including healthcare, legal, automotive, and government contracting. Stacy was attracted to Coforma’s open and collaborative work culture. “Throughout the interview process, the emphasis on working as a full team across different areas of expertise to support our partners’ needs was refreshing,” she reflects. “It's exciting to be part of a team that works so closely together across disciplines. I hope to continue that practice and look forward to building strong relationships with clients.” Outside of work, Stacy enjoys playing video games and spending time at local Charleston-area beaches and dog parks with her husband and their three lovely pups, Banjo, Freya, and Ransom.
