I was recently accepted to the CodeDay / Computing Talent Initiative Micro-Internship, where I was given guidance on how to contribute to open source, and I was able to work on a git issue with my team for 4 weeks. I picked up Typescript and Vitest in a week, and have an open pull request where I am working with a Storybook maintainer to get my work upstream. In my blog post, I explain building Storybook locally on Gentoo Linux and MacOS, and I take you on a journey through not one git issue, but two! ??
