?? I've noticed some cool trends in programming languages. Despite many engineers not being fans of JavaScript, it's been the top choice for solving tech problems. Let's skip the why - there are plenty of reasons. The shift to TypeScript? That was pretty obvious. But Python, after a bit of a stumble a few years ago post-AI hype, is definitely making a comeback. ?? We're seeing a new shift in how languages are used, and I wanted to share my observations. ?? Many AI infrastructure projects start with Python and then add TypeScript to broaden their reach. It's a smart move. But here's a key point: a significant number of the tools used in these projects are Python-only. Just take a look at #LlamaHub from #llamaindex. TypeScript tools? Virtually none. ??? If you're building an AI-driven product and not using Python, you might end up spending 50-80% more time and effort. Why? Because you'd be redoing work that's already been done in Python. ?? So, what does this mean for developers and businesses alike? As we navigate these changes, it's crucial to stay informed and adaptable. Choosing the right language isn't just about following trends; it's about understanding the landscape of open-source support and the practical implications for project timelines and resources.
