At Coca-Cola Consolidated, we are deeply saddened by the impact of Hurricane Helene on mountain communities in the Carolinas and Tennessee. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was and continues to be affected by the incredible devastation left behind by the storm. #HurricaneHelene left its imprint in many parts of our territory, and we’ve had teammates, warehouses and customers significantly impacted by the loss of housing, electricity, drinkable water, internet connectivity and more. We are proud that Coke Consolidated teammates have been there supporting one another, and others in need, from the beginning. They’ve provided more than 30 thousand cases of water, essential relief supplies and substantial financial resources in the region. Hundreds of servant leaders lifting up families and communities in need, sharing their blessings with neighbors. Our Rapid Response Team of trained volunteers is still on the ground assisting teammates and residents. Teams are in the affected areas removing downed trees and dangerous debris. While others have set up food pantries and provided hot meals for hungry volunteers and families in need. Coke Consolidated will continue to serve as many of our customers as possible during the recovery. We want every partner and customer impacted by Hurricane Helene to know that we are praying for you and your families during this difficult time. “911. What’s your emergency?” Kevin Altomare, one of our Ohio customers, and his family are grateful to be alive after waking up in the middle of the night to find their house engulfed in flames. The fire destroyed the house, leaving Kevin and his family homeless. Our Response Team sprang into action. From demoing the home to sharing a smile, our team provided support and hope as the customer and his family works to rebuild their lives. Behind every new flavor and timeless classic is something bigger – our Teammates. They pour their heart into their work and into serving others. Welcoming a new baby to the family can be difficult for military parents-to-be who often live far from their extended families and support systems – and even more so when finances are tight. We had the honor of joining with Operation Homefront, Safeway and Baltimore Ravens for a Star-Spangled Babies? Shower at M&T Bank Stadium for 30 new and expecting military families. Hundreds of our Teammates, along with staff and volunteers from Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHMETROLINA) and numerous community organizations, came together to pack 10,000 boxes of food for those impacted by #HurricaneHelene. ?? Coca-Cola Consolidated also made a donation to Second Harvest to allow the organization to continue their vital assistance to those in need.
