At Coca-Cola Consolidated, we are deeply saddened by the impact of Hurricane Helene on mountain communities in the Carolinas and Tennessee. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was and continues to be affected by the incredible devastation left behind by the storm. #HurricaneHelene left its imprint in many parts of our territory, and we’ve had teammates, warehouses and customers significantly impacted by the loss of housing, electricity, drinkable water, internet connectivity and more. We are proud that Coke Consolidated teammates have been there supporting one another, and others in need, from the beginning. They’ve provided more than 30 thousand cases of water, essential relief supplies and substantial financial resources in the region. Hundreds of servant leaders lifting up families and communities in need, sharing their blessings with neighbors. Our Rapid Response Team of trained volunteers is still on the ground assisting teammates and residents. Teams are in the affected areas removing downed trees and dangerous debris. While others have set up food pantries and provided hot meals for hungry volunteers and families in need. Coke Consolidated will continue to serve as many of our customers as possible during the recovery. We want every partner and customer impacted by Hurricane Helene to know that we are praying for you and your families during this difficult time. It’s National Veterans and Military Families Month, and we’re honored to be celebrating both here at Coca-Cola Consolidated. Many of our Teammates come from military families and are veterans or spouses of veterans. ???Such is the case for Jennifer Goodman, a Senior Manager for Talent Initiatives at our Company. Jennifer has spent nearly a decade of her career helping service members, veterans and military spouses establish and grow meaningful careers. It turns out Indianapolis Colts and Buffalo Bills fans are just as big on recycling as they are on football! ?? We were able to collect and sort loads of plastic bottles and cans for recycling at the big game at Lucas Oil Stadium. ?? In addition to placing 50 recycling bins and 8 big upcycled syrup vats used to collect large amounts of bottles and cans throughout the stadium parking lot, Coca-Cola Consolidated volunteers rewarded fans who used the recycling bins with towels and koozies. Adults and kids alike had fun playing games at our event space as they learned about our efforts to recapture and recycle cans and bottles. Congratulations to the winners of our 2024 Safety Rodeo! ?? Each year, the event brings together the best of the best of our delivery truck drivers and warehouse loaders in a fun but serious competition that drives home the importance of safety at Coca-Cola Consolidated. The contestants for this year’s Safety Rodeo made the cut because they met stringent requirements, such as completing all monthly safety training, being accident free, and more. ?? Competition is in three categories at the Safety Rodeo: truck safety, forklift safety and pallet jack safety. Challenges include parallel parking, a serpentine course, alley dock parking, product storage, forward and reverse circles, and much more. So, what could be more fitting than participating in a Giving Tree holiday shopping trip to benefit students at McEbright Community Learning Center in Akron, Ohio? ?? Our shoppers took to the aisles of a local Walmart to purchase shoes, clothing and LOTS of toys for students at the school. Even the Coca-Cola polar bear pitched in! “911. What’s your emergency?” Kevin Altomare, one of our Ohio customers, and his family are grateful to be alive after waking up in the middle of the night to find their house engulfed in flames. The fire destroyed the house, leaving Kevin and his family homeless. Our Response Team sprang into action. From demoing the home to sharing a smile, our team provided support and hope as the customer and his family works to rebuild their lives.
