Exciting News! Cobec has partnered with Drone Security Services (DSS) to offer specialized training for local law enforcement, fire departments, and first responders. Our collaboration will equip emergency personnel with the knowledge and skills to integrate drones into their operations, enhancing safety, situational awareness, and response efficiency. With Cobec’s expertise in UAS program development and FAA regulations and DSS’s drone security solutions, we’ll be providing hands-on training to support Drone as First Responder (DFR) program implementation. One step at a time… all the way to Mordor! Cobec decided to kick 2025 off with a little movement and friendly competition. Dozens of Cobecians participated in a two week long step challenge, and boy do these folks move! Our combined steps powered the Cobec team on an epic journey—recreating Frodo and Sam’s legendary trek from the Shire to Mount Doom through our step challenge. Using our collective steps, we charted our path across Middle-earth, from Hobbiton and Rivendell to the depths of Moria and the towering gates of Mordor. Seeing our progress mapped out, both in Middle-earth and across the U.S., made every step feel like part of something bigger. A huge shoutout to everyone who participated— and to our winners! Maurice Hoffman, Wilfred Tagud, Nicholas Celio, Anna Matveeva, Jon Cardiello, Scott White, Sherry Reese, Nathan McQueen, Bobbie Sprouse, and Jack Hom.
