Cobb County Public Library is introducing text message notifications for hold pickups, overdue notices, and other library messages. To provide more accurate and timely information, the library is discontinuing its automated phone notification service. Patrons can now choose to receive notifications via text message or email. Cobb library cardholders with accounts that were set up for phone notification should immediately ask for a change to text message or email notification in order to ensure seamless service. Cobb County has teamed up with FindHelp to launch a new online platform connecting residents to local, vetted assistance programs. This resource allows users to search for free or low-cost services, including medical care, food, job training, and more. Residents can explore available support by visiting findhelp.cobbcounty.gov. The initiative is made possible through funding from the American Rescue Plan Act.

These interactive online experiences join the already successful virtual libraries of Switzer, South Cobb Regional, and Gritters.
