Our incredible drivers are the unsung heroes of Cobb County Senior Services! Today, Marietta Senior Center showed their appreciation with some refreshments and a special spotlight. Our amazing drivers even took the stage to share a bit about themselves and their experiences. Thank you for helping our seniors stay connected and independent. We couldn’t do it without you!

At the recent Cobb County Board of Commissioners meeting, Commissioner Keli Gambrill presented a check for an incredible $6,127 raised by the 2nd Annual Battle of the Paddles Pickleball Tournament in support of Meals on Wheels! This year’s tournament invited participation from all Cobb County departments, showcasing our employees’ talent, enthusiasm, and commitment to the community. Thank you to Commissioner Gambrill, Cobb PARKS, and everyone who made this event a success. Here’s to making an even bigger impact together!

Seniors and staff brought the house down at our annual Lip Sync Battle! From a heartfelt rendition of The Beatles' "Yesterday" to energetic performances like "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," every act left it all on the stage. In the end, Cobb County Sheriff’s Office’s own Deputy Watts stole the show, winning first place with a stunning performance of "Let’s Get It On!"

From the early morning start to the last bingo call, our staff worked hard to make sure everything ran smoothly for our seniors. Special shoutout to our amazing drivers who ensured everyone arrived safely, and to the staff and volunteers who served breakfast, managed the games, and kept the day running seamlessly. The staff worked tirelessly to make the rounds of bingo extra fun, while also supporting all the great activities. And a big thank you to Commissioner Keli Gambrill, Commissioner Monique Sheffield, and Cobb County District Attorney Floyd D. Broady Jr. for volunteering to call bingo and bring some extra excitement to the event. It’s teamwork like this that makes Cobb County Senior Services a special place. We couldn’t have pulled off such a fantastic event without everyone’s dedication and hard work!

What a whirlwind of fun and information! Our staff and volunteers along with Julie Freeman from Wellstar Kennestone Trauma Center visited Walton Communities all over Cobb in honor of Fall Prevention Month. We visited four properties and shared important fall prevention tips with over 96 people! Together, we're making a difference in the lives of seniors in our community.
