CABA's mission is to foster and promote aviation and related business throughout Colorado; to collectively address and respond to issues impacting Colorado Airports, including safety and operational effectiveness; to educate the general public about all aviation activities in the state, and to preserve the state's airport related businesses as valuable economic assets to the community at large. In 2017 CABA passed the Support Colorado Aviation License Plate Bill. Plates become available in Sept 2018 and is a way to help promote aviation throughout the state of Colorado and its important economic impact. In 2018 CABA has introduced HB18-1083 a state sales and use tax exemption for on demand air carriers. Bill passed both house and senate, but was later vetoed by Gov. Currently working to reintroduce the bill in 2019.

Aviation means business in COLORADO!
Today our Colorado Division of Aeronautics announced the results of our 2025 Colorado Aviation Economic Impact Study, and WOW! While the number of jobs remained similar to those from our 2020 study, payroll, value added and business revenues/output increased over 40%, even with the consideration of inflation! Thanks to Governor Jared Polis for recognizing the importance of #aeronautics, #airports and #aviation in Colorado, noting that: “The aeronautics industry in Colorado creates jobs, boosts economic growth, and contributes to the success of our agricultural and trade partnerships. International and domestic air travel in Colorado has contributed to aeronautical business retention within our state, and opened up job opportunities that have fostered a skilled-workforce here in Colorado” And thanks to Patrick Heaton, C.M., Tom Gibson, C.M., Regan Schnug, AICP, Georgia Twyerould, AICP and Pam Keidel-Adams and the entire Kimley-Horn team for another well done product!
