What is Regenerative Agriculture? Definitely a hot topic and open for some discussion, but most importantly any definition must be inclusive. The goal is to encourage all farmers to begin implementing regenerative practices, even if they are long time conventional growers. Every little bit helps. Advancing Eco Agriculture posted their vision on what this movement can look like and it's inspiring Regenerative agriculture?is a way of farming that regenerates soil health, plant health, animal health and human health. Regenerative agriculture is fundamentally about relationship management. What's currently happening in Southern California is the same thing that took place in South Australia and is caused by conventional farming practices. Salt fertilizers and pesticides decimate soil microbiology rendering what we call the "soil carbon sponge" useless. What we have left is scorched Earth with no ability to naturally stabilize the environment. Cannabis growers should continue to push each other to improve and implement our regenerative practices.
