Last week, we packed up and headed to North Carolina to visit some great real estate companies and get a first-hand look at the beautiful city of Charlotte. On Friday, we visited CBRE to learn more about their capital markets and research divisions, which provided students with a better understanding of the CRE environment and the different career paths available at CBRE. We then headed to Grubb Properties, where we got to hear from Melissa Needham about Grubb as a company and how young professionals can build a successful career in real estate. This was followed by an informative tour of their corporate office and their Link Apartments Montford Project. On Saturday, we got to explore downtown Charlotte's modern architecture and urban landscape. We visited the historic NoDa district, an old mill village that has been revamped into a vibrant art scene with galleries and music venues, which let us see what’s possible when creativity, culture, and community come together to make a difference and bring new value to local residents. ? We would like to sincerely thank Compie Newman at CBRE, Melissa Needham at Grubb Properties, and all others involved in making this trip possible! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Charlotte and are incredibly appreciative to have had the opportunity to learn more about real estate and build connections with great people in the industry. #CBRE #GrubbProperties #CRE #realestate #commercialrealestate #realestatedevelopment #careergrowth #earlycareers #charlotte #northcarolina #urbandevelopment #realestatecareers #realestateeducation #leadershipdevelopment #networking #professionalgrowth #realestateinvesting Coastal Carolina University
