?? Say hello to this month’s spotlight, Annie Billman, Principal Technical Program Manager. Annie is based in Oregon and joined the Coalition team in 2022. ??Annie was in the middle of a job hunt when a venture capitalist friend mentioned that cyber insurance would be a key player in the coming years. He specifically mentioned Coalition, so Annie applied for an open role. A year later, a role that more closely matched her experience opened up, and that’s when she joined our team. ? As a technical program manager, Annie focuses on Coalition’s cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance and works on anything related to compliance, standards, controls, or policies. In her day-to-day, she reviews contracts, ensures we have proper access controls in place, reviews new regulations, and determines if any gaps in our infosec program need to be filled. ??♀?Since she gets the best focus time in the morning, she appreciates the flexibility of our remote-first culture. It allows her to step away to walk her dog or go for a run to reset her focus if it’s drifting before jumping back into work. ?? Annie’s favorite part of her yearly team offsites is the escape room competitions. They give her insight into how everyone communicates and solves problems together. ?? Outside work, she loves to paint acrylics and watercolors — including pet portraits.
