Our mission is to provide a space that brings together women of color from all ages, backgrounds, and cultures.
关于我们
Our organization is dedicated to celebrating and empowering women of color from all walks of life. We understand the importance of community for women of color, and how vital it is to have a safe and supportive space to share experiences, uplift one another, and create positive change. For young women of color, seeking guidance and mentorship is crucial for achieving success in both their professional and personal growth. As women of color, we often face unique challenges that our peers may not encounter. Microaggressions, discrimination, and systemic barriers can be frustrating and disheartening, but it's important to remember that we are not alone in these struggles. By finding mentors who share similar experiences, we can gain invaluable insights and support to navigate these challenges. It's also important to recognize the power of our voices and the value of advocating for ourselves and others. Together, we can break down barriers and pave the way for future generations of women of color.

It is Women's History Month, and it serves as an opportunity to highlight the often-overlooked accomplishments of women in science, politics, the arts, and social justice, among other areas. The month encourages reflection on the progress made toward gender equality and inspires continued advocacy for women's rights. By celebrating pioneers such as Susan B. Anthony, Rosa Parks, and Malala Yousafzai, Women's History Month not only acknowledges past struggles and successes but also empowers future generations to continue striving for equality and justice. There are women that we each know of who will forveer be a part of our individual history. Be sure to thank them! #WomensHistoryMonth #coalitionofcolorfulwomen

Continuing to share important moments of Black History this Black History Month - Meet Black Wall Street. Black Wall Street refers to the thriving African American community in the Greenwood District of Tulsa, Oklahoma, during the early 20th century. Known for its prosperous businesses and vibrant cultural scene, it earned a reputation as one of the most affluent African American communities in the United States. At its height, Black Wall Street boasted numerous successful businesses, including grocery stores, banks, theaters, and hotels, all predominantly owned and operated by Black entrepreneurs. However, this prosperity was tragically disrupted in 1921 when racial tensions culminated in the Tulsa Race Massacre. Over two days, white mobs attacked the district, resulting in significant loss of life and the destruction of homes and businesses. Despite the devastation, the legacy of Black Wall Street continues to inspire and serves as a poignant reminder of the resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of the African American community. #Blackhistory #coalitionofcolorfulwomen

Happy Black History Month! Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. Also known as African American History Month, the event grew out of “Negro History Week,” the brainchild of noted historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating Black history. #BlackHistoryMonth
