Working Together, We Will Achieve Hepatitis Elimination.

关于我们

In July 2019, to catalyze progress toward achievement of the goals for viral hepatitis elimination globally, the Task Force for Global Health (TFGH) launched the Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination (CGHE). Modeled after other TFGH disease elimination programs, the CGHE provides services to assist the planning, implementation and evaluation of national and sub-national programs to eliminate hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) transmission and disease.

  • Put your hands together ???? for the Roadmap for Women and Youth Development (RAWYOD), a youth-led Nigerian ???? non-profit working to build communities where women, youth, and children can thrive. RAWYOD started a project in January, 2024 with the goal of reducing hepatitis B incidence in Nigeria by raising awareness of hepatitis B birth dose (HepB-BD) and calling for its integration into routine immunization programs. Their work focused on the Yobe State region and engaged healthcare workers, pregnant women and women of childbearing age, key stakeholders and community members through creative communication materials and events focusing on HepB-BD. • This striking message advocating for hepatitis B birth dose comes from the Health and Rights Education Programme (HREP), a Malawian ???? based organization dedicated to promoting health and equal rights through health advocacy, research, and technical assistance. HREP Malawi has made great strides in promoting hepatitis awareness and hepatitis B birth dose (HepB-BD) through the years. Their first project in 2022 made hepatitis a topic of conversation through hosting a World Hepatitis Day event, meeting with the Ministry of Health to advocate for HepB-BD implementation, and training HREP Malawi members on clinical management of hepatitis. HREP Malawi began a second project in January of 2024 with fresh goals for the new year, including integrating HepB-BD into routine immunization and increasing demand for HepB-BD among pregnant persons, communities and healthcare workers. • ?? Celebrating 35 years of impact! In 1989, MSD transferred hepatitis B vaccine technology to China at no profit—a turning point in public health. Thanks to this collaboration, infant vaccination rates have soared to 99%, and HBV infections in children under five have dropped from 9.7% to just 0.3%, saving millions of lives. This groundbreaking initiative now serves as a model for tackling other diseases.
