Here at Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging (COAAA) we work with consumers, caregivers, families and other organizations to arrange, fund and provide social services for older adults and people with disabilities. If you need help, are caring for a loved one, or are a social services professional, the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging is here to help you navigate and find resources that support older adults, people with disabilities, and family caregivers. Our mission is to inform and support people as they navigate the experience of aging or disability. We have developed a network of quality programs and services that supports and promotes individual choice, independence and dignity for older adults, individuals with disabilities, their families, and the community. COAAA plans, funds, and delivers services that help older adults and individuals with disabilities remain safe and independent in their homes. With the assistance of area providers, COAAA arranges and coordinates services to help individuals with daily living such as homemaking, transportation, home delivered meals, and personal care. COAAA offers education and resources to caregivers, professionals, and the public, and we are advocates for programs and policies that benefit older adults and individuals with disabilities. We manage services for 15,000 people and fund services for another 25,000 older adults in eight counties: Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, and Union. Tickets for The State of Aging are now available! Join COAAA at this inaugural event for an evening of impact and fun. The State of Aging will highlight the impact of COAAA and future trends in aging and disability services. It will also feature the ‘16 Over 60 Awards,’ a new recognition that will celebrate 16 central Ohio older adults. Admission tickets are $50 and include heavy hors d’oeuvres and one drink ticket. Proceeds support the Aging Solutions Foundation. Free, convenient parking is available at the venue. The State of Aging is Thursday, May 22, 2025, and will be at The Grand Event Center (Grandview Ballroom), 820 Goodale Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio 43212.
