Championing Colorado's World-Class Federal Research Lab Ecosystem
关于我们
CO-LABS is a non-profit consortium of federal research laboratories & institutions, universities, colleges, businesses and economic development organizations that provide financial and in-kind support for programs that promote the retention and expansion of Colorado's scientific resources. From agriculture to aerospace, geology to GPS, infectious disease to quantum physics, even wildlife biology to ice cores (and more!) the range of crucial, world-class research in our state is astounding. Our members recognize the importance of science as a fundamental source of humanity's progress, as a limitless resource to provide insight and answers, and as a source of wonder that can awe and cause joy. Keeping our scientific research labs and institutes funded is a matter of pragmatism and national security as much as it is a matter of pride and inspiration. Did You Know: Federally-Funded research labs in Colorado contribute $2.6 billion/year to the state's economy and provide 17,000 direct and indirect jobs. Source: CO-LABS 2016 Economic Impact Study Through events, economic analyses, strategic communications and networking activities we work to: • PROMOTE Colorado as a global leader in research and technology • EDUCATE the public about the labs’ impact and importance of sustained funding for research • CONNECT the labs, universities and businesses to facilitate partnerships and technology transfer To learn more, visit www.CO-LABS.org.

Thinking about submitting a special session to #ESA2025 but need a theme to pull your idea together? Consider a NEON theme! The National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) will host its inaugural “Best NEON Presentation” award at the ESA Meeting. This new award will showcase talks and posters about research incorporating NEON data, samples, specimens, or utilizing NEON Research Support Services. A session highlighting NEON-focused talks will boost the number of presentations eligible for this award. Additional details coming soon, but be sure to flag your abstract for consideration by including a description in your abstract of the NEON resources used! ESA is currently calling for special sessions, career central sessions, and workshops and short courses - deadline is January 9, 2025! View the call for proposals here: https://buff.ly/3ZYkdLH
