Travis E. Wiltshire, PE LEED AP joined the Page team today to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for the Texas Health and Human Services State Hospital in Wichita Falls.
A welcoming visit to City of Wichita Falls and celebration for Texas Health and Human Services with formal groundbreaking activities. This new behavioral healthcare project consists of a consolidation and replacement of the North Texas State Hospital (NTSH) inpatient services, also known as Wichita Falls Hospital (WFH). ? The 225-bed replacement hospital will include 25 Maximum Security Beds, 25 Children’s Beds, 25 Geriatric Beds, and 150 Forensic / Civil beds. This project is based on the premise of consolidating hospital services into one key building to improve operational efficiency, form a more public and dignified presence of the hospital in the neighborhood, and to drastically improve the quality of care and quality of life for people receiving psychiatric inpatients services at the hospital. Page was joined by other design partners and McGough building team momentum to get this one going. Ground preparation, utilities and demolition will begin next month.
