Scammers may send emails from lookalike company addresses, conduct fake online interviews, and offer jobs without real contact. Some scammers even pose as real companies with nearly identical email domains. Also watch for personal email accounts, job offers without interviews, requests for money, and unprofessional communication. ?? If something feels off, don’t respond! Report it to the Carnegie Mellon University Information Security Office (https://www.cmu.edu/iso/) and your CPDC Career Consultant. Scammers are getting smarter, so always double-check before you act on any messages you may receive!
