LeBron and Luka have the EXACT same record through their first 427 games. Through the first 6+ seasons of their careers, it's identical: LeBron with Cavs: 243-184 Luka with Mavs/Lakers: 243-184 The connection goes deeper. LeBron and Luka are the only 2 players in NBA history to average at least 27 PPG, 7 RPG and 7 APG in their careers, per NBA. Whether coincidence or fate - it seems they were destined to be teammates

Shaq is about to become one of the highest-paid broadcasters in sports. Per Front Office Sports, Shaq is set to make $15 million a year in his next contract. With a new deal in place, Shaq will become the 7th highest-paid active broadcaster in all of sports. But he moves up on the highest-paid broadcasters list: 1. Tom Brady, FOX, $37.5 million 2. Charles Barkley , TNT, $21 million 3. Stephen A. Smith, ESPN, $20 million T4. Troy Aikman, ESPN, $18 million T4. Tony Romo, CBS, $18 million 6. Pat McAfee, ESPN, $17 million T7. Shaquille O' Neal, TNT, $15 million T7. Joe Buck, ESPN, $15 million Once Inside the NBA moves to ESPN next season, they will now have 6 of the top 8 broadcasting contracts in sports. Not much has been revealed about Shaq’s new TNT deal, or if ESPN will follow the same format that's helped Inside the NBA win 19 Sports Emmy Awards. But one thing's for sure: with a net worth of $500 million, Shaq continues to make bank both on and off the court.

NBA money is crazy, and this just might be the next craziest contract. After Wemby’s season-ending injury, Jaren Jackson Jr. became the odds-favorite to win DPOY. Normally if you are a Grizzlies fan, that would be an accomplishment. But in reality, it could be a burden for Memphis. According to Front Office Sports, a DPOY would make Jaren Jackson Jr. eligible for a $345M super max contract. Yes, you read that right. That’s not a typo. Jaren Jackson Jr. could earn what the Dallas Mavericks were not willing to give Luka Doncic. Is Jaren Jackson Jr. worth more than 1/3 a billion dollars? How do the Grizzlies afford a winning team around him? Are NBA awards creating destructive NBA contracts? Lot of questions for what could be a very questionable contract…

Many know Gregg Popovich as the GOAT coach that brought 5 championships to San Antonio. But more than his achievements, his longevity and love for the game is the most rewarding gift he gave to both the Spurs franchise and The Association. After suffering a mild stroke in November 2024, sources tell Shams that Coach Pop won't be returning to his coaching duties this season, and is questionable for any?NBA?comeback at all. First was Wemby's season-ending injury, and now there's Pop's indefinite return. The whole state of Texas prays for the?San Antonio Spurs?right now.

Kyrie Irving wants to play in the 2028 Olympics, but not for Team USA. After the All-Star Game, he revealed he's in talks with Basketball Australia about switching national teams. “Man, we’re in the process of that right now, just trying to figure out the best route for me to be eligible...Honestly, if I can be an Aussie at one point in my career and play for the Australian team, that would be great.” Kyrie Irving was born in Melbourne, Australia, while his father was playing basketball overseas.

With the 74th NBA All-Star festivities wrapping up at the Bay Area, we've seen the usual pomp and pageantry and a new twist on the main game that featured 3 separate games to decide the overall winner. These changes were met with mixed reactions with this year's edition the most trending All-Star weekend with its highest engagement with a billion views (and counting) on the league's social media platforms. This is a 17% growth from last year's All-Star Weekend with everyone abuzz from Mac McClung's slam dunk theatrics which generated 100 million views. Kai Cenat and Druski used their influence to drive a 43% growth in social media engagement from last year's Celebrity game. On the other hand, Team Shaq's Kevin Durant went to X to voice out his opinions about the regressing popularity of All-Star weekend: "I think it’s more fun to complain about the nba than to actually watch it. Crazy, cancel all star weekend and let’s just give everybody a break since we’re so miserable around this time…" The fans want a serious and competitive side to the All-Star game and the NBA has tried every trick in the playbook except for a Team USA vs Team World format or maybe have the same format with an All-Snub team replacing the Rising Stars winners. Do you agree with KD's take, or what format would you suggest to revive the All-Star game's once competitive fire?
