Live Broadcast Announcement! Thanks to the generous support of Bragg Financial, WDAV will host a live broadcast of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra's performance of Brahms' A German Requiem on November 23 at 7:30 PM. In his first concert as the Charlotte Symphony's Music Director, Kwamé Ryan leads the combined musical forces of the Charlotte Symphony, Charlotte Master Chorale, and two soloists in a poignant interpretation of Brahms's inspiring and hopeful masterwork.

This year, we created a powerful short documentary that shines a spotlight on our nearly 70-year legacy of providing critical arts education to the children of Charlotte-Mecklenburg. This past year was one of immense strides for us, but none as great as sharing the joy of music with over 15,000 students across our region. Last night at Bank of America we were joined by community leaders across Charlotte to officially welcome our new Music Director, Kwame Ryan. This momentous occasion brought with it a surprise announcement of our Comprehensive Campaign. Thanks in part to leading contributions from the Knight Foundation, C.D. Spangler Foundation and Bank of America, we shared the exciting news that to date we have raised $41 million towards the $50 million goal.
