As summer unofficially comes to a close, we want to extend a huge thank you to our amazing Landscape Architecture interns, Anna Desmone and Monte Dunham, for their hard work and invaluable contributions this summer. Anna, from the North Carolina State University, worked in our Philadelphia office, and Monte, from the University of Oklahoma, worked in our California office. Their passion for wildlife conservation and zoo design has truly inspired us and we can’t wait to see where their careers take them!

We partnered with CLR Design, Wolverine Building Group, and the John Ball Zoo to create a pygmy hippo habitat that features the most rigorous sustainability standards in the building industry. Together, we are pursuing a Living Building Challenge Petal certification (LBC) for the project, which is the highest green building certification. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gSt2Ei28

We are partnered with LMN Architects and CLR Design on the Forest Trailhead at Woodland Park Zoo. Featuring an elevated canopy path and pavilion building, the new 27,500 SF exhibit offers visitors an immersive conservation-focused experience, highlighting the zoo's important work collaborating with global communities to protect the endangered tree kangaroo and its habitat. Designed with a focus on sustainability, the pavilion will be constructed with locally sourced Mass Plywood Panels (MPP).
