Local stories, local storytellers, local brands. Kudos to Retirement Strategies Group, Culture Insurance, Campbell Law, 365 Connect, and Icon Industries for being conversation catalysts.
Sunday night, San Diego. Reflecting on a bunch of things at the moment. But thinking hard about the kid from the Projects in NYC who always wanted to be an entrepreneur (made that happen at 25) and the same kid who always loved journalism and papers. Even built up a dominant route with the Long Island Press and employed by older sister!! I probably never thought I’d be a “4QPreneur” fusing entrepreneurship and media, but so it goes and so it flows. And what a fun ride we’re having (60 shows in and expanding to Atlanta and Philly) at Cloudcast Media!! Just this week, an amazing group of humans in our studios on various shows. Incredibly impactful humans doing their thing, some locally, some nationally, but all with humility. But the opportunity to share time and space with Treger Strasberg, the incredible force behind Humble Design, was particularly deep and meaningful. Homelessness, poverty, the power of books - it all came together. She joined our “Live Local, Give Local” show and the meaning of humility and empathy becomes crystal clear. Teresa Colosimo-Miller, the co-host and leader of 365 Connect, made it all happen and we had a great time. Look for the episode in March. And a message to 4Q folks…forget retirement. Engage, energize, reinvent, win another championship. Have a great week ahead. PS. Grazie mille to The Culture Insurance Group , Retirement Strategies Group, Campbell Law, 365 Connect, and Icon Industries for making these conversations happen.
