关于我们

Hi! I'm Clo Bare, but you can call me Chloe. I'm a personal finance coach and blogger, helping folks make their money work for them, and start living a life more aligned with their values. In two years, I paid off $40k of that debt, saved $150k for retirement, and am now on track to retire by 46. I did that all while still taking a dozen domestic trips and five international trips, and now I focus on teaching others how to do the same! There's a lot of outdated financial advice out there that's unhelpful, monolithic, and restrictive. I approach personal finance with a different lens-- instead of just looking at your money, we focus on you as a whole person. What are your goals? What are your major priorities? What do you like? How do you best learn and do you enjoy data? Or are you more of a free spirit that hates the idea of tracking anything? All these questions are important when managing our personal finances, and as a coach, it's my job to make sure we come up with a financial plan that works for you and your priorities.

The cost of living is no joke at the moment. #Negotiation has never been more important. Focusing on what you can negotiate at work makes a lot of sense for most people. So stoked to team up with my mate Chloe Daniels, CFEI?, CFLP? to share our top 5 tips for negotiating to make more money ?? 1. TAKE SAFE RISKS You gotta get reps in at the gym - and in learning to negate. The first time you ask for more money - should NOT be in front of your boss. Start asking for discounts in low consequence settings - like at markets, on the phone to your cell phone provider or when booking an Airbnb. 2. TALK TO MENTORS Talk to colleagues and folks ahead of you in their career. Their wisdom will pay dividends. 3. KNOW YOUR NUMBERS Be clear on your $$$! Know the number you'd LOVE Know the number you NEED And know when you will WALK AWAY if the offer's too low 4. TRACK ALL YOUR WINS Shameless plug for the PepTalkHer App - we'll prompt you daily to keep a running tab of all your wins for the year 5. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT Cliche but true! Role play your negotiation with a friend before having the conversation with your boss. You'll be more prepared and feel more confident. If 2024 is the year you’ve pledged for finally get on top of your finances, I highly recommend Chloe's live class. It’s super practical, high energy and non tedious (a rarity!) Check it out in the lnk below. And let us know any negotiation wins you’ve had at work or in life this week! I’ll go first - mine was ringing my credit company and having them refund my several hundred dollar credit card fee :) You don’t ask - you don’t get! ??

I teach people how to invest the lazy way.

Last week I had the privilege of speaking to a community of women about one of my favorite topics: Being your own safety net. What does that look like? It means making sure that your financial future is set, regardless of if you're partnered up or not. We have to make sure, whether we're single or in a relationship-- that if something were to happen and we're looking at facing retirement and our finances alone? We have it covered. So we talked about budgeting, increasing income, investing, paying off debt-- all the pillars of good financial health. It was such a fun talk and I got some feedback from the host today: "I absolutely loved having Chloe speak to my community! She provided such valuable information that truly resonated with every single person. Chloe has a wealth of knowledge and knows exactly how to deliver it in a digestible and impactful way!"-- Jackie Loor I've got availability for 2-3 more sessions this month for Financial Literacy Month-- if you've got a community you'd love for me to speak with? Send me a DM or email at chloe at clobare dot com-- I'd love to chat.
