?? Omnibus proposal is out! ?? ? The European Commission has just unveiled its #Omnibus proposal to simplify the #CSRD and #CSDDD. The final text must still be adopted by the Council and the European Parliament. In other words, nothing changes for now—the current directives still apply. ? Key changes to the CSRD: 1. Only companies with more than 1,000 employees would be affected. Listed SMEs would no longer be subject to the CSRD, reducing the number of companies impacted by 80%. 2. Two-year delay in implementation for companies in the second and third waves. 3. Sector-specific reporting standards would be dropped. 4. Revision of ESRS standards to reduce mandatory data points. ? Key changes to the CSDDD: 1. Due diligence obligations would be limited to direct business partners. 2. Reduced frequency of periodic monitoring. 3.
