Sharing global climate justice perspectives, building cross-movement solidarity, & examining power structures.
关于我们
The Global Center for Climate Justice’s mission is to broaden the public’s understanding of what climate justice means, why systems change is necessary, and to highlight that sustainable solutions already exist across the globe. We synthesize climate justice perspectives to produce accessible and engaging public education and popular-discourse materials that support activism on the ground, and in the broader climate justice movement. Our leading-edge research broadly illuminates the root causes of the climate crisis, through illustrating that structural inequities result in unjust outcomes. To build just and sustainable communities, we elevate the voices of activists, researchers, and the globally connected network of doers to give momentum to a truly grassroots global movement for change.

Wildfires are becoming a new normal in LA and many other cities around the world, reminding us of the urgent need for climate justice. Economic justice movement, Equal Right, argues that Universal Basic Income (UBI) could be a game changer in communities recovery and resilience building in the face of disasters. They propose that a UBI backed by a global Cap and Share policy to provide a necessary safety net for all, ensuring no one is left behind. Licensed attorneys can help by: ? Providing legal guidance on federal compliance, contracts, and investigations ? Assisting organizations targeted for political retaliation ? Protecting essential federal investments in underserved communities Time Commitment: Volunteers can choose their level of involvement, with options starting at 10-15 hours+ depending on tier. Full training and resources are provided—no prior experience necessary. Join us in defending critical federal funding - sign up to volunteer today!

One of the most important court cases of the decade is taking place in North Dakota this month. Energy Transfer is suing Greenpeace USA in an attempt to quell free speech & the right to protest. The court's decision could ripple across not only climate spaces, but could affect everyone's abilities to speak truth to power:
Today, the trial begins. Energy Transfer, the Big Oil company behind the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) is suing Greenpeace USA for $300 million in an abusive lawsuit attempting to silence free speech through intimidation. In 2016, #Indigenous leaders organized the #NoDAPL resistance at Standing Rock against the DAPL oil pipeline that would harm their land, water and rights. Climate activists, and allies joined in support. This abusive lawsuit is an attack on all of our rights to protest and free speech. Join us in standing up to #BigOilBullies Let’s show them that #WeWillNotBeSilenced or stop speaking up against harm. Learn more ?? GreenpeaceOnTrial.org
