?? Andros Innovations a #climatehavencompany takes home first prize and $10,000 as the winner of the CleanTech Product Development Grant. Last night, Founder- Laron Burrows, pitched his startup- Andros Innovations at Innovations Night CT hosted in collaboration with FORGE. Andros is making green ammonia through a modular, cost-effective and energy-efficient process operating at atmospheric pressure. ClimateHaven was represented by our team members, Cecil Gilliard, Sophie Duncan and Ananyaa Mehra. Thank you to our partners over at FORGE—for inviting us to be part of this event, that highlighted Connecticut's innovation ecosystem with so many familiar faces and exciting new members of this growing community. With events like this, Connecticut continues to shine as a hub for both innovation and manufacturing, and has the capacity to support startups in development and deployment stages. As aptly stated by Daniel O'Keefe (Commissioner of Economic Development and Chief Innovation Officer for the State of CT): “Manufacturing is existential to the state”, and with the specialized labour and these manufacturing capabilities we are set up for success here in Connecticut.

ClimateHaven, a climate tech incubator in Connecticut, has hired?Justine Lee?as CEO. 2. Apple Watches:?Customers can now "choose a #carbonneutral option of any #AppleWatch," CEO #TimCook said during Apple's Q4 2024 earnings call. The statement surfaced roughly one year after Apple introduced its?first carbon-neutral watch?in September 2023 -- though the claim involves Apple purchasing various carbon offsets. 3. Data Centers:? #Microsoft is building its first#?datacenters made with ultra-lightweight wood?in a bid to slash the use of steel and concrete, which are among the most significant sources of #carbonemissions, the company said. 4. Partnership - Recycling Technology:? Circular Solutions Advisors (CSA)?and?Plastiks?are partnering to promote #blockchain technology as a way to more effectively track #recycling data. 5. Partnership - EV Charging Network:?German power provider RWE?signed a 15-year power purchase agreement?with #electric ehicle manufacturer Rivian. Translation: RWE will supply electricity to Rivian's #EVcharger network. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. 6. Power Management:?
