?? I can't believe it.. curriculum and programming for Climatebase Fellowship Cohort 6 is almost wrapped up! As we approach the end, we’d like to highlight the speakers and Fellows who made the last two weeks so special. The Fellowship Community sat in on a panel discussion on the built environment and adaptation, which featured: ? Davida Herzl, Co-Founder, CEO & President @ Aclima, Inc. ? Leah Ellis, CEO & Co-Founder Sublime Systems ? Emily Hand Director & Chief of Staff @ Verdical Group ? and?Cohort 3 Fellow Emma Greer (moderating). They explored the roles of innovation and policy in addressing carbon emissions in the built environment and other key topics. We were honored to host Sanchali Pal, Founder & CEO @ Commons, who shared insights on sustainable consumer practices, her company’s mission, and the role of individual choices in reducing global emissions. For the job seekers in our community, we hosted two jobseeker focused events that explored valuable insights on building careers in the climate sector, offering advice on job search strategies, networking approaches, and cultivating green skills. Panelists included: ? Daniel Hill, Creator of #OpenDoorClimate & Director, Business and Innovation @ Environmental Defense Fund, Natalie Lavery. ? Head of Marketing @ Climate People ? Patrick Burke, Leadership Recruiting @ Watershed Fellows had the exclusive opportunity to meet 7 climate organizations in meet-and-greet breakout rooms with representatives from: Climatize, Skyven Technologies, Brooklyn SolarWorks, Tyba, Pioneer, GlacierGrid, and Greentech Renewables during one of our regular Climatebase LIVE virtual job fairs. Emanuele Silvio Gentile, a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton University, explored in-depth the essential role of climate models in understanding and mitigating the impacts of climate change. The circular economy industry panel featured: ? Dagmar Grote, Partnerships Manager @ Fashion for Good ? Alice Casiraghi, Expert Advisor @ Food Trails, ? Svetlana D'costa, Strategic Partnerships Lead @ rePurpose Global ? and?Cohort 5 Fellow Audrey W. (moderating). Our guests explored practical approaches for advancing circular economy practices across sectors such as fashion, food systems, and waste management. Usama Shahzad, Supply Chain Senior Officer at Better Cotton, offered Fellows an in-depth exploration of sustainable transformations within global textile supply chains. Finally, a special shoutout to Cohort 6 Fellows who shared their expertise through Fellow-led sessions. Fellow Randall Kempner led a thought-provoking discussion on the challenges and opportunities within climate philanthropy, and Breona (Bree) Jenkins explored strategies for navigating conflict and fostering productive, difficult conversations. ?? ?? ??
