Our director of policy and strategy is getting an electric heat pump installed in her home! ??
Status update: Heat pump install is almost done! Gas connection is now sealed! Don’t judge a book by its utilitarian cover - this all-in-one magic appliance provides cooling & heating to my home more energy efficiently than the old furnace & AC it is replacing, and it is powered by clean electricity instead of burning gas! And yes, we expedited this replacement before the end of the year so we can get the $2,000 Biden tax credit! I’m not waiting to find out the IRA’s fate or if Trump tariffs drive up the costs next year ?? anyone else making a heat pump or EV purchase before end of year just in case?
