What #COP29 has to do with Climate Scale-Up - This year, Climate Scale-Up reached out to over 350 #ClimateTechInvestors and meticulously reviewed over 500 portfolio companies. From VCs such as Builders Vision we received over 30 nominations and we are now in the process of selecting 10 exceptional companies for our upcoming cohort. These companies are not just innovators; they hold the key to achieving critical climate goals, particularly in the wake of #COP29’s landmark agreement. At #COP29, a pivotal commitment was made by developed countries to provide at least $300 billion annually by 2035 to support developing nations in addressing climate impacts and transitioning to sustainable energy sources. This agreement is a start, and I am excited to see how our selected companies will leverage this support to scale impactful solutions that not only address environmental challenges but also uplift communities in developing nations.
