OUR PURPOSE 1) promote environmental justice based in intersectionalism, i.e. the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of people of all races, cultures, incomes and educational levels with respect to the development and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies, 2) to encourage the development, application and use of ecological research to address environmental issues, particularly those that disproportionately impact research to address environmental issues, particularly those that disproportionately impact underrepresented or low income groups, 3) to stimulate education and outreach efforts that will provide better use and understanding of ecological concepts and research by non-scientists 4) to increase participation by individuals from underrepresented groups in the Climate Revolution and 5) to take leadership in advancing environmental justice concerns 6) to engage young New Jerseyians left out in the causes of environmentalism 7) to increase awareness of issuing journalistic standards and drawing attention to environmental justice 8) to rebuild ecologically minded community

I had a wonderful day today in Newark at Climate Revolution Action Network's Seed Pod event. We joined forces with Rewild New Jersey, Sharonda Allen, Natural Ground, Do Good Donuts and the Weequahic Park Association to give kids hands on experience, planting native flowers and learning about pollinators. Such a great opportunity to build community and have a little fun making things more beautiful!

Another fantastic Climate Revolution Action Network event bringing Stockton students on a bus trip to the 900 acres we are working to preserve! Doing anything like this requires telling stories and feeling a genuine connection to the land. Glad I got to spend some time going over how to emotionally organize so we can build people power. This trip wasn’t just about ecology and development—it was about uncovering the rich history of the Black and Indigenous communities that have shaped this region. Their stories are deeply tied to this land, and learning about their resilience and contributions gave us a whole new perspective on why protecting Black Run Preserve is so important.
