There has never been a greater need to build climate resilience. And who knows more than migrant, displaced and refugee women, female 1st responders and women in climate change? That's why we're convening climate resilience salons and bringing together the women who have the most to offer from 27 climate impacted countries in a series of 7 Salons in different regions and bringing their knowledge, experience, solutions and actions to COP28. We are looking for Supporting Partners, organizations that are connected to networks in the US, Europe, Latin America, Europe, Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia (and that is just the beginning!).

Today I was previledged to meet with the rural women who are involved in the processing and sale of hot pressed edible Shea butter. These mothers seated under the Shea nut tree are a reflection of resilience and a hope that if we build businesses around trees we can restore our forest cover. #KeriNaturals #KingofAfricanBeauty #Otukerian we are building green businesses using a rural featurism approach. We're starting to learn more about the environmental cost of generative AI, and it is pretty terrifying. Yet again, a "great" idea that comes out of Silicon Valley with no guard rails. What great ideas do women come up with that have such negative climate and social impacts? I'm sure this is not all down to gender, but more to do with power and access to capital. But I was meeting women creators and inventors at a military technology conference this week and what I found fascinating were the ideas that women have for positive climate impacts. And even more wonderful is the way that women "stumble" onto great solutions. The woman sitting next to me, Eesha B., a PhD student, had been looking for drug delivery mechanisms (the science if beyond me) but came up with flexible batteries- “FlexBATS” that takes water and make it into electricity. There is often water when there is no electricity. Imagine the impact! As she so well shows, women see real problems and want to fix them. All too often men go with the herd, like the all too familiar herd of AI. That's obviously not all bad, but the world needs solutions to very serious problems. Women can fix the planet!
