关于我们
CPI is an analysis and advisory organization with deep expertise in finance and policy. We answer pressing questions posed by decision makers through in-depth analysis on what works and what does not. Our mission is to help governments, businesses, and financial institutions drive economic growth while addressing climate change. This is a complex challenge in which national policy plays a crucial role. We work in places that provide the most potential for policy impact, including Brazil, China, Europe, India, Indonesia, and the U.S.

Affordable capital is a key driver of the climate transition.? Concessional climate finance—offered at more favorable terms than the market—must increase by at least fivefold by 2030 to achieve the Paris goals.?? ? While international concessional climate finance has increased by 50% from 2019, reaching USD 81 billion in 2022, much more is still needed.?? ? CPI’s latest report explores current flows and outlines key actions to enhance the scale and efficiency of concessional climate finance:?? ? 1?? Expand the volume by tapping all available sources?? 2?? Increase the impact by targeting resources to where they’re needed most 3?? Use scarce resources more efficiently 4?? Improve impact metrics to better evaluate its use? ? International cooperation within a more coherent climate finance architecture will be key to making this a reality.??? ? ?? Scaling up the Green Guarantee Group at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference ?? The "Unlocking private capital at scale for green investments in EMDEs: the case of green guarantees" panel at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference was an excellent platform for high-level discussions on mobilizing and leveraging private investment to accelerate sustainable development. Special thanks to the esteemed moderator and panelists Nicole Wilke, Barbara Buchner, Stephan Opitz, Moritz Kraemer, and SARA JANE A. The discussion centered on concrete steps to scale #greenguarantees and highlighting key priorities for the Green Guarantee Group's (GGG) future work program. Experts from diverse sectors shared valuable insights into the challenges, innovative ideas, and future potential of green guarantees as a crucial tool in addressing climate change. The Green Guarantee Group (GGG) was launched by the German Federal Government at COP28 and will deliver concrete recommendations by #COP30 in Brazil on how to enhance the effectiveness of green guarantees in promoting green investments. The Ausw?rtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office) Germany and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action have appointed me as the Chair of the GGG.
